Maybe Someday

When I was li'l girl, he was a young man;
Now I am a young woman and he is a little boy;

He doesnt know me, neither do I know him;
No matter how much I try it hurts real bad;

Maybe if I were smarter, or prettier, or anything more,
He would want me for something that I am not..
I try and try to be that something that I am not.....
I wish I wish and just keep on wishing more

Theres a reason to everything so may this would have too
Some gals are just not meant to be Daddy's Li'l Girl...
